I pretty much got bored today, and thus broke out my camera (the same one we use for all of the cosplay pictures taken on 91.8 The Fan). I needed to get better at holding the camera steady as is, and initially thought I would do a figure review of sorts since I have so darn many. Though the two I took pictures of I had gotten just recently, and noticed they were both convention swag. I do believe a convention swag post with pictures is far better!

I didn’t buy a whole lot at AnimeExpo since they jack up the prices way too much for any sane person. My only resolve was if I spotted either a Gothic Lolita Mikuru or a Rock Star one it would be mine. All through the week all I could ever find was Yuki or Haruhi. It was insanely annoying, most vendors didn’t bring Mikuru with them. Though the last day, Kibs and I spotted it. The deal was done, and now it sits happily right next to my computer.

I like this one due to the fact that despite standing on one leg, they really made an effort so she doesn’t lean. It’s quite beautiful, detailed, and well made. I can even see the star-shaped mole on her chest. Mikuru is so absolutely adorable.

During AnimeVegas I wasn’t really planning on buying anything, but once again I caved. I discovered another Mikuru that had been on my want list for quite awhile, but I had never gotten the funds together to buy it.

Kibs also bought me the original Star Ocean: The Second Story soundtrack. SCORE! That’s actually incredibly rare considering the date of when the original game came out. I have yet to open it and ruin it, but I will eventually and soak up the moment.

For those wondering, I do collect other figures besides Mikuru, I just happen to have an abundance of her. I have roughly sixty at this point with my only multiples being Mikuru Asahina and KOS-MOS.
