Kanashimi’s the name, knowing the inside and out of every fandom is the game.

Actually, my real name is Jackie, but on the internet I much prefer my alias. I’m pretty much like any other fangirl on the net, considering if you believe that females exist on the interwebs, and have a lot of geeky tendencies. I think by this point I’ve touched ever part of the anime spectrum as I’ve been involved in blogging anime episodes, manga chapters, drawing fanart, cosplaying characters, collecting action figures, AMV making, intensively collecting & playing any Japanese related video game out there, and most recently running a business in anime radio. My interests are pretty obvious by the above statement, and the posts featured on this site.

This is my little playground where I post not only random thoughts, but any news that interests me, as well as posts from other various projects I’m involved in. If you’re not interested in anime or video games, then you really won’t enjoy this site or any other posts directing to other websites. I like the cliched niche, and I don’t plan to leave it anytime soon.

Most people are generally confused as to what Kanashimi-Network is. It’s really not that hard to comprehend, it’s merely a personal blog. It connects as a sort of central hub for all the other websites I’m apart of. You can see those sites in their entirety by looking for the large The Network section in the sidebar.

You’ll end up finding entries from the sites listed in that section as well as personal blurbs from myself. You can expect those to be either updates to my video game list, news that interests me, rants, pictures of my latest cosplay, etc. It’s also a good idea to watch the site if you’re a fan of any of the sites in The Network as more than likely sneak peeks will be posted here at my digression.

Mainly due to a lot of reasons, in fact I’ve had Kanashimi-Network planned for awhile, but had never found the prime chance to launch it. In the past I’ve had an anime blog, entitled Only The Bitch Knows, but it became dead back in 2007 due to my hectic schedule. It was impossible to keep reporting episodic entries due to the stress in my life at the time. As such the site was left in a state of indefinite hiatus, and was never picked back up.

Between here and now, I’ve made several different sites for both personal reasons and entertainment reasons. My most popular to date has been Tiki’s SpellBook, a website dedicated to the online golf game Pangya. Sadly, due to recent turn of events the updates on the site have become scarce due to the failing US servers (I’m merely waiting for them to fix their various problems before I pick the game and site back up again).

My main focus, besides Kanashimi-Network, is 91.8 The Fan. Nearly two years ago, a friend of my Sandgolem, opted to start an industry supported anime radio station. At first it seemed like something interesting to talk about, and now that we are so close to launch I might very well be able to quit my job and continue life working for an online site. It’s honestly one of the most interesting experiences I’ve been apart of, and I’m happy to work on it.

Between all of these though, I’ve never had a place to basically whine and complain as many people do on their MySpace or LiveJournal. So, to keep track of my cosplay, game list, and certain aspects of the internet I’m involved in… Kanashimi-Network was finally made. It felt like a good time considering all the things happening in my life, I just hope that everyone enjoys the site for what it is.

Kanashimi-Network was originally planned for release back in March 2009, the idea forming in January of that same year. However due to my obligations to other projects, I was forced to actually delay this launch. Instead, the site finally emerged as more then an idea in September 2009. I plan never to abandon this blog as there’s no absolute focus concerning it. As such I can post whatever I want to, and it can track my constant changes in interests and hobbies.
